In words they could fathom
a word, volunteer, held up
explained by the work,
the life of this church
what do we offer to those
those who are cold?
A coat, one young voice shouted,
nods, affirmations from the congregation
But more still
a sweater too
his voice rose up
yes, a sweater too,
and there are blankets
more still
for those who are without
