Jonathan (“Jon”) Bohrn (b. 1957) lives in Long Beach, CA, which he considers to be the best place on earth. He spends as much time as possible under an open sky, wandering Southern California mountains and deserts until running out of food, water or, even worse, batteries for the GPS. A European immigrant, he fell in love with the power and beauty of English-language poetry during his high school and college years.
Jon studied English Literature in his undergraduate program and writes professionally as a curriculum developer and executive coach. His fascination with how people work (and sometimes don't work) together has influenced his writing, along with his graduate work in Organzational Change and Conflict Resolution. Jon's poetry has appeared in a growing number of print and on-line publications, as well as in spoken-word venues in the Los Angeles area, and his first well-received chapbook, “On the water’s edge” was published in 1998. He is the editor of the on-line anthology site “a Passage through August”, featuring poetry and accompanying art on the subject of our “journey” through life and maturity. His 1997-to-present work can be found on his on-line chapbook site, “Contemplating August.” |
