Choosing for them
hurting our neighbors
them becoming our sacrifice
against their will
Cutting their services, their benefits
limiting their options
freedoms removed
making them have-nots
The poor, the young,
the aged, infirm
made to pay for our excess
the choices we would make
Something obscene
in a land of such plenty
the costs on their backs
while others remain wealthy
