God’s voice in the power
shaking the whole earth
whispering creation
giving each their birth

If we would but hear
if we had been standing there
in the water as the heavens opened
seeing Jesus baptized

Would we have heard
would we have listened
God announcing his Son
would we have looked
would we have seen
the descending of the dove
