In All the People that We Meet by Raymond A. Foss
None of them truly strangers
just new neighbors
the face of Christ present
in all the people that we meet

Offer our gifts
our hand in friendship
seek out ways to serve
our neighbors in need

No longer strangers
if we see them as family
more distant cousins
branches on our tree

Christ within them
no less than me
each of us worthy
because Christ climbed the tree

How should we respond
to the gift of salvation
listening to Christ’s words of judgment
maybe a great start
