God came to us
not in power
in the humble baby
placed in the manger bed

God used this vessel
the babe in the manger
the life of Jesus
to show us His true self

We see God
in the face of Jesus
in the love come down
to walk on the earth

His servanthood, His sacrifice
defining our faith
the love of our Master
in dying on the cross

We proclaim Jesus
in our lives, as worship,
telling others the good news
to the ends of the earth

Shining our light
especially in Advent
the fulfillment of all promise
in the one risen Lord
