The babe in the manger
the King that had been promised
the Savior who died
hanging on a cross

The one, the Messiah
that had been promised
coming again
in glorious victory

Waiting for the babe
the coming on the Christ-child
the expectancy of Advent
in the coming of the King

All of this important
the treasure of God’s gift
in the saving of our lives
by His sacrifice on the cross

We are the children
the sheep of His flock
treasure in clay vessels
needing to be poured out

The living water of the message
the coming of the Christ-child
the return one day
to bring His people home
