Testify before it is too late - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

We are to tell the story
the love of our father
the grace he pours out
the choice we are to make

We are the ones
who can lead our brothers
our sisters in the path of love
in the way of the cross

Testify before it is too late
right now, in the present
no time to lose
in the judgment that will come

Each of us may choose
given free will by God
to follow the world
or to follow God’s calling

Yet we all must be mindful
of the lessons of scripture
the consequences of our choosing
eternal and always

We are the hope
the witnesses, the disciples
ours is the duty
to spread the message
to heal the whole world
