Though he was human
the son of the most high
his mission central
to the plan of God

To offer hope for the poor
to set the captives free
to release the prisoners
those like you and me

His divine work in the world
to spread God’s message of love
ours to do in our time
until the work is done

To share Christ to all we meet
to act in his holy name
to reveal why he came
to bring everyone home again
