Focused on our nation
as we do on this day
needing to be mindful
of the savior’s way

He spoke with power
on the mountaintop
recasting our understanding
of freedom that day

Not as the world sees
of right and wrong
and what is valued
in the courts of the Lord

Our sense of freedom
ever may it be
guided by the words of Christ
his blessed offering

to live with greater intentionality and to find deeper levels of meaning
for our lives. Instant gratification can be the enemy of faithful living.
Intentionality is the path to blessedness.”
