Thinking more deeply
and a bit of whimsy
nature and wonder
power and nurture
thinking about multi-tasking
and the proficiency of men
Thinking about the trinity
God faceting in three
each a jewel, perfect
each in symmetry
so many roles, images
hard for me to comprehend
God may be a woman
able to juggle in time
making, sustaining,
saving us from ourselves
caring for us
more than herself
Forming all from nothing
before time began
birthing the world, the universe, all that is
wrapped in arms, lovingly guiding
raising us up when we fall
Made in her image
part of our nature
male and female
the connection of family
in the waters of life
So much like most mothers
doing it seemingly effortless
dancing together
revealing as a jewel
making me ponder, hypothesize
that God may be a girl
Or maybe at the end
if we are made in the image of God,
an all of the above kind of answer,
because our human minds cannot truly fathom
the infinite nature of God.
