Singing of God
often without words
melodies only
deep within my soul
welling us in me
an understanding of God
deep and abiding
a glimpse of heaven above
Not in my consciousness
something deeper yet
walking with my savior
on these dusty roads
journeying in this life
in the world as he was
seeking to be true to God
in my words and my deeds
In shards of epiphany
often without words
singing of my king
in part that I would hear
within my soul his song
the melody of his love
deep and abiding
a glimpse of heaven above
