God’s seed, his spirit
speaking against injustice
when the powerful abuse
unfairly persecute
when we all
focus on ourselves
stepping on our brothers
that we may get ahead

The prophets now living
speaking for God
indwelling within us
that we would know his way
calling us to him
that we would stand up
speaking out for justice
until our time here is up
