Christ Indwelling - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

Not just on his throne
seated at the right hand of God
the Spirit of the risen Christ
falling, pouring down on us

Christ indwelling within us
walking with us in life
staying with us day to day
in our troubles and our strife

There with us in our joys
in triumphants only he helps us achieve
guiding us in the way of the cross
helping others who are in need

Christ leading us
that we would not sin
humbly walking with God
leading us all of our days
until we rise with him

Prayer of Dedication:
“Abundant God, we thank you for the jars of our lives
that are constantly being filled. We offer our gifts to you,
that others may know of your abundance and grace.
Fill the hungry with good things. Lift up the oppressed.
Watch over the stranger and comfort the lonely.
Through our gifts, may we do likewise.
In the name of Christ the Comforter, we pray. Amen”
