Showing Us the Son - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

The Good News of redemption
coming to us from above
God’s love poured out on us
showing us the Son

The word of God,
love come down, living as a man
dying that we would live
when he comes again

Now we are the gardeners
tending the plants below
sowing seeds of hope
for the harvest time

Offering our witness
of how we encountered Christ
going where the others are
the ones who have yet to know him
until the world is ready
for his triumphant return

Prayer of Dedication:
“Abundant God, we thank you for the jars of our lives
that are constantly being filled. We offer our gifts to you,
that others may know of your abundance and grace.
Fill the hungry with good things. Lift up the oppressed.
Watch over the stranger and comfort the lonely.
Through our gifts, may we do likewise.
In the name of Christ the Comforter, we pray. Amen”
