Finding Christ in Solitude - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

When we calm ourselves
seeking him, he is there
finding Christ in solitude
no matter where we are

Drawing him closer
when it is really us
he is right inside us
his Spirit dwelling within

Always ready when we call
the advocate of our lives
having gone to the cross for us
he wants the best for us

When we seek we will find him
right beside us on our walk
yoke yourself to him
he is the way to life

Prayer of Dedication:
“Abundant God, we thank you for the jars of our lives
that are constantly being filled. We offer our gifts to you,
that others may know of your abundance and grace.
Fill the hungry with good things. Lift up the oppressed.
Watch over the stranger and comfort the lonely.
Through our gifts, may we do likewise.
In the name of Christ the Comforter, we pray. Amen”
