The Spirit’s fire
burning inside of me
offering light, warmth, and heat
to everyone I meet

Changing my path
the way I walk in this life
leading me to travel
the way of the cross

Offering hope
the message of God’s love
servanthood, like my master
who chose to sacrifice

Burning brightly when I turn
my pen to write his verse
sharing the love of Christ
with everyone on earth

Set Ablaze

Would that we would see
all the world, to the ends of the earth
Set ablaze by the seeds of Pentecost.

Fire of the Spirit
spread by your people
stoked by your word
fed by your love

Holy Fire
touching each heart
fanned by the breath of God

Seeds opening in the fire
grow within us
empowering us, different tongues
to share your words of love
