Speaking for Us - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

The breath, the Spirit, God within us
speaking when we cannot find words
trembling in our spirits alone
calling from within, to our heavenly king

Speaking for us, out of our musings
words for the creator, for God
the advocate walking with us
on this road, this mortal coil

God answering, sometimes in ways unexpected
hearing the callings of our prayers
our petitions brought to him
spoken and unspoken
laid before our king
