We Matter to God - Poem by Raymond A. Foss

A confidence as believers
in the words of the scripture
God speaking to us
on what it means to be blessed

Nothing like the way of the world
a complete opposite in fortunes
focused on loving one another
and building up treasures in heaven

We matter to God
of that we can be assured
forgiven of our sin by the lamb
who sacrificed and died for us
