In calling the disciples
all the believers
a final step
his ascension to heaven

Proving, before their eyes
his awesome divinity
rising to sit
at the right hand of God

All they had heard
all he had taught them
preparing them
to carry on his work

Telling them to wait
the coming of the spirit
to baptize them
with authority from above
