Her Blue Chair by Raymond A. Foss
Dark arms of wood short legged, as we are sitting empty in the living room the place of her blue chair
Back to the front hallway just beyond the base of the stair a color as must have been on Mary’s head in that certain shade of blue
Crumpled fabric, wrinkled, old lovingly used for many ages yet always empty on the holidays as Gram was always in other places
May 3, 2010 inspired by the readings at 1st meeting of a poetry group at the Suncook Senior Center Allenstown, NH
