The psalmist spoke
of God as our fortress
a place of refuge
when our enemies are about

How much more
the indwelling Spirit
after we believe
a fortress in our hearts

Nothing can keep away
the love of our master
given so freely
on the altar of the cross

The lamb, our shepherd
speaking from within us
a promise of our future
in the presence of our king
