Forgetting our place
to tend and to nurture
the garden of the earth
given into our hands
Taking for granted
the world and all within it
as if there ever
would be more for us to consume
Using up our resources
pumping out pollutants
changing the environment
for our selfish wants
Needing to bow
to fall to our knees praying
to ask our creator
how we should change our ways
