Into Human Flesh by Raymond A. Foss

Giving up his deity, divinity
his heavenly power poured out
taking on the stuff of the earth
into human flesh

Christ walking as a man
empty of his glory
walking with the Lord
humbly, as a servant

Going to the cross
following the master’s plan
a model, an example for us
that we would do all we can

Servants to our savior
brothers of the king
walking with our shepherd
until our work is done
