As if daubed by a cotton ball
rich bright color
or maybe a fan brush
adding whitening to the sky

Patches of fire
brushed onto the clouds
the glowering sky

The dawn alive
the clouds shimmering
pulses of yellow, of white
painted on the blue and the gray
