The same redemption,
the same gift of grace
offering us love
freely to all
not just to the twelve
sitting around the table
sharing the Passover, the Seder
with the Lord
All of us, still today,
as they were unworthy
denying, betraying, running away
yet, we too, like them given
the same love of God
Christ, as a servant,
washing our feet,
as a sacrifice
taking on our sin
As the lamb,
choosing the cross
that we may live
just as they around the table
sharing the bread, the chalice
drinking of his blood
each of us offered
the healing grace of Christ
