as if to their elders
remembering a shared memory
telling their story
in the present tense
how they were to remember
the might deeds
the commands
the history, the rebellion
the law, the decrees
all of what God told the people
as if to each one
to each new generation
as if speaking out of the clouds
from within the fire
as if speaking
for the very first time
