With trepidation, anxiety
with trembling voice
reading the scripture
the ancient text

Speaking the words of God
in the creation of the world

Bold print on the screen
calling us to claim
the story of creation
from the perspective of God

Not myth, but truth
the one who made us all;
while in the image, yes,
but I am far below the Lord
