that moment of realization
understanding, awareness
changing our lives
Seeing the meaning
in the signs around us
courage to follow
where our hearts would lead
Such is the challenge
within the story
the journey of the wise men
and the response of Jerusalem
Both saw the star
understanding its meaning
the prophecy of old
the Messiah come to life
Hope for those who seek him
fear for those in power
Christ come into the world
to offer true life
to set the world aright.
