The lie of Christmas the ways of this earth that spending equals love disproved by his humble birth
The king, our savior born in a stable bed laid to rest in a manger straw under his head
Love is the sacrifice the humbling of God made flesh, human to walk with us again
Serving in the land going where the master led choosing to follow the Lord no throne, the cross instead
Giving himself, love laid bare offering himself for us that we may live again this is the meaning of love
Not what we spend and place under the Christmas tree none of these gifts survive the message of our God and king this gift alone is love
