The regal mast pine
reaching to the sky
a collar of moss at the base of the tree
a brocade necklace,
the checkerberry lace
adorned with a smattering
of bright crimson beads
Under the edge of the oak leaf blanket
the beautiful garment of the plants of the forest
offering us a glimpse of the creator’s majesty
