Jesus entered anyway by Raymond A. Foss

The door locked
the disciples huddled in
Jesus entered anyway
that is how the story would begin
The church as we know it
born on that very night
when the savior came to them
and spread his spirit of light

He came through the locked door
a world to open up
to give power to us all
to go and do his work
Out into the world they and we are called
to be the hands and feet of Christ
to answer when he calls
Bearing his message of love
to witness to the grace of God
