The things of the earth the possessions we hold so dear idols of dust they remain returning from whence they came Chasing the things, the little meaningless gains that are of this earth;
Losing sight of the gifts of God the life beyond the dust of the earth the streets paved with gold
Walking differently, with the Lord our way made more straight seeing our brothers, our sisters the people we meet on our walk Lifting up our neighbors their loads on our backs journeying with our brothers following his way of the cross
