in the sharing, the gospel
through the spirit moving within us,
speaking in words they may understand
in their native tongues
and in the way of our savior
speaking in parables
in words, stories real to them
out of their experience

In doing this, in stepping into their shoes,
speaking with words they may hear
seeing through their eyes
the world revealed anew for us
each of us in the wilderness
out in the world
a new revelation of the Lord
