Uncomfortable words,
words to challenge
a mirror before us
slowing my voice
looking at the congregation
sharing Christ’s words

Uncomfortable words
of the shackles of wealth
our focus on the things of this earth
needing instead,
to let go of our treasure
to follow Christ
seek after his example
and the treasures of heaven
