Still waters, a place of rest a meadow green given by the king to sit at our shepherd’s feet a sheep of his flock, oh let me be
Stopping my daily toil remembering his commandments to rest upon the sabbath to trust in him for our daily bread
Eating the bread, the food that is from him alone drink the living water to restore my very soul
Going where he would lead through valleys dark and deep trusting in the Lord to keep me safe from harm
A member of his family taking from the heavenly feast my head anointed as a king my cup full beyond my belief
A future and a home a promised space in heaven followed by the Lord my hope, my life, my all true rest at the end of my days
