The labyrinth changed
a birch cross,
placed within the rows
drawing us in,
a touchstone, a guidepost

Each stone, each step
leading to your sacrifice
adding something, reverence
setting this space
more fully apart
no longer part of the yard alone
sanctuary too
Holy ground
Centered on the cross
