our prayer, in giving of our resources
asking for wisdom, for guidance on where
the monies should be spent; but going beyond
praying too that we would follow
in His footsteps, so real, so urgent
on a day of remembrance
on the awakening of the church
birthing of the commissioning
empowering of the timid disciples
to go and reach all
to the ends of the earth
Praying in His name, today
that we too would be his emissaries
that we would go as he was sent
as they were sent before us
going in His name
following in His footsteps

“Almighty God, Giver of knowledge and might, we come
before your throne to worship You in Spirit and truth. We
pray that your Spirit of illumination would fall upon us
gathered here today so that we may hear your still small

feel Your presence with us here today. Come Spirit, fill our

Pentecost Sunday
on the Prayer of Dedication
“Sustainer, Living God, Giver of all that is good, we thank
you for all that you have done, all that you are doing, and all
that is yet to be done in our lives. You have so richly
blessed our lives and we praise Your Holy name. We offer
up to you these tithes and offerings. Guide us in the way
you would have us use them so that we may reach out to
those in need as our Savior Jesus Christ did so long ago.
May we follow in His footsteps as His ambassadors to the
world. May our offering be pleasing in your sight. And it is
in His strong name we pray.
