At the cross, as the savior hung dying
his mother, his disciple
joined into a family
his mother, his brother
familial bonds, a spirit of adoption
carried out at the foot of the cross

Forever more his mother,
forevermore her son
Here is your mother, here is your son
Together grafted, one to another
blood and spirit
one
