guests at the royal banquet
the wedding feast of the son
Our names not found
on the original guest list
invited, nonetheless, by the king
to come to the banquet
to share in the bounty
the offerings of the king
Like the select, the chosen
those with the engraved invitations
while we were yet slaves
we were invited in
