by a show of hands in the sanctuary
all of us, young and old, called to minister
to do the work of the clergy
all of us called to prayer, to study,
to service to our community, to care for the sick
to visit the widows, the shut-ins
to spread God’s love
the message of Easter, of Pentecost
to the ends of the earth;
all of us
