A willing, a more perfect sacrifice
the lamb of God, sacrificed on the mountain
the new Isaac, the firstborn son,
sacrificed for the covenant,
the new covenant of blood
bringing us home, righting the schism
closing the distance to God
The new Adam, choosing a better way,
a humbling before God, a more perfect sacrifice
a high priest, able, with the one sacrifice
to seal the breach, for all time
a holy priest, the shepherd,
lamb of God, come to save us
to bring us back to God
