I believe, in the Christ,
the love of God,
the presence of the Holy Spirit,
as the Creed says,
all of it, with my heart,
Not my analytical head,
for I believe because of faith
not in what I can see,
what I can measure;
but in the word of God
written in the words of scripture
in the life of His Son
in the lives of the saints
who have followed
in His way,
and in the promise,
the covenant
etched on my heart
