A woman, unnamed but remembered
for her act of love, of faith
spend money, extravagantly
lavished costly nard, oil
on the Christ
Perceiving hi essence
his divinity before
Before it was made known
through his rising
Not the named disciples
who doubted,
who dragged their feet
She, though unnamed,
is remembered,
because she knew
He was the Messiah
and anointed him
