They were busy, unproductive,
preparing, mending their nets
on the shore of the lake
waiting, seeking, ready.
He called to them, to step up
to leave all, to go with him
to be fishers for people,
casting different nets
for different quarry,
They left all, to follow him
leaving unmended the nets
that didn’t matter to them any longer
leaving the day to day
for an unknown future
with boldness
they would need later
