of the sacrament
common bread,
common grape
blessed and prepared
consecrated by the clergy
carried, placed,
gently, reverently,
on his table
Covered and sanctified
until the intoning
the words
of covenant,
of remembrance
sharing the bread
and the wine,
the body and the blood
of the savior
