Before we went in,
before the start of the show
The harbor seals made me laugh
that innocent, genuine laugh
of the wonder of something special
ready to share with us
to enjoy their world
unburdened by our presence
on the stage for all to see
safe in the big bustling city
ambassadors to the wonders inside
the range of images to absorb
but fun, slippery sliding fun
of the harbor seals
the ambassadors before the show
