He said the prints were about the events of 9/11/01, especially the twisted metal of the bombed buildings. They came months after the attack when he finally returned to print work after a lengthy hiatus when he wrote instead. His wife shared that they all came out in a burst of activity over a single week. Aaron would only get a few hours of sleep each night and was almost working round the clock in the studio. His activities were so frenetic and continuous that he left the paints out, and would merely spray them so they remained wet and fresh.
