"Until we touch again"
I whispered, in your ear
As we embraced, before our parting
A summer/a lifetime together
Closer than we have ever been
still struggling but more sure
Moving forward you and I

Another year, a new beginning
Before me, more certain, I belong
New challenges, new tests
of my intellect, our resolve

No goodbyes or au revoirs
Just a murmur, a ripple in time,
"Until we touch again"
It echoes in my heart even now
A day later and two hearts apart
But connected, as we are
And will be.
