One Year by Raymond A. Foss
One year since You opened your heart to me. To share deep feelings To take a chance. Love, lust, fear and stealth. Love under a bushel Waiting to shine in the open.
What a year it was. How far we have come. Souls laid bear, Bodies connected. How close we are. Moving toward A future we don’t know.
Love grew and grows More each day. A bond where only A fling was intended. Powers beyond us Are pulling us together.
Poetry and passion Love and affection Feelings in verse. Honesty and fear, Trust and commitment Our companions.
Words fail me As I try to tell you How much I love you. How sure I am That we belong together.
I don’t want to change you. I want to be with you For as long as you will let me. Free to be who we are, Happy together, In love.
